Board is a platform operated in Malta that connects companies with qualified board directors. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Maltese data protection law.
For directors: name, email address, professional background, CV, LinkedIn profile, past and current directorships, certifications, and profile photo. For companies: company name, registration details, sector, contact information, and vacancy postings. For all users: login credentials (stored as a secure hash) and account activity.
We use your data to operate the Board platform — including displaying your profile to companies (directors), enabling director search (companies), processing applications, sending transactional emails, and maintaining platform security. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Your data is stored on secure servers within the European Union. We use Supabase (EU region) for database and file storage. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes and are never stored in plain text.
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also request a copy of your data or withdraw consent for processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@board.schaak.mt.
Director profiles are retained while your account is active. If you close your account, your data is deleted within 30 days. Company data is retained for the duration of the subscription and deleted upon account closure.
